Andrew Fischman joined Joyce Law Firm in 2020 as an associate attorney. Andrew is a Texas Native, born in Allen Texas. He first moved to northwest Arkansas in 2013 after his first trip to the region. The natural beauty and community of the region instantly struck him. He enrolled at the University of Arkansas later that same year and has been proudly residing in Arkansas ever since. An avid cyclist, and rock climber, you can likely find Andrew either on the bike trails of Northwest Arkansas or in one of its crags or canyons.

Andrew worked for the University of Arkansas New Student and Family Programs for his four years of undergraduate study. If you attended the University of Arkansas from 2013-2017 it is very likely you attended an event Andrew either planned or ran. Andrew studied History and Anthropology, with a focus on Archaeology, during his undergraduate career. Earning degrees in both fields. Even to this day he is more than happy to spend hours discussing near any subject related to antiquity or more contemporary history, and if you ever find yourself at the law firm feel free to ask to borrow a book.

After graduating, Andrew briefly lived in Italy working on a dig site in Tuscany studying Imperial Roman shops and commerce. This career in archaeology was short-lived, as Andrew always harbored a desire to bring about positive change to his community and knew that the best way to do that was to become a lawyer.

Andrew enrolled at the University School of Law in 2017, during his legal education he had the fantastic opportunity to work for the Federal Public Defenders for the Western District of Arkansas and serve lower income clients through the Arkansas Criminal Defense Clinic. Finally, Andrew spent his final year and a half of school clerking in Huntsville Arkansas, helping the rural communities of Arkansas. In this capacity, he developed an understanding and love for rural Arkansas, and understands the unique needs of these communities, it also gave him a bit of experience in just about everything as small town works means you help however you can.

As an attorney, Andrew serves as the Family in Need of Services attorney for the Third Division of Washington County, and the sole Family in Need of Services attorney for Madison County. In this role, Andrew helps juveniles and their family navigate the Court system and pairs them with needed services to ensure the health, safety and education of the juvenile.

In addition to his appointed work with Juveniles. Andrew handles all manner of private legal cases. From civil contractual issues and landlord tenant cases; to adult and juvenile criminal cases. Andrew carries his rural practice experience forward to provide multi-faceted services to Fayetteville.
